Aliza Vicente Aranda was born in Navarra (Spain). She studied her Bachelor (Hons) Degree in London on a Trinity College London scholarship with John Crawford and Walter Reiter. After obtaining her diploma she moved to Switzerland, where she studied a Master's in Performance at the Hochschule für Musik, Luzern, with professors Sebastian Hamann, Petra Mullejans and Giuliano Carmignola. She specialized later in Historical Performance obtaining a Master’s degree from the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis under the guidance of Leila Schayegh.
 

Aliza was a member of EUBO (European Union Baroque Orchestra), EUYO (European Union Youth Orchestra), JONDE (National Youth Orchestra of Spain) and of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment Experience Scheme with whom she collaborates professionally. She performs regularly with the Freiburger Barockorchester, La Cetra Barockorchester Basel and J.S. Bach Stiftung St. Gallen and also collaborates with groups such as Kammerorchester Basel, La Scintilla (Opernhaus Zürich), Zürcher Barockorchester,  the Ilyria Consort, Capricornus Consort Basel or La Centifolia. She has worked with musicians such as Simon Rattle, Rachel Podger, Jordi Savall, René Jacobs, Enrico Onofri, Nicholas Kraemer, Lars Ulrik Mortensen, and Alfredo Bernardini.

Very active as a chamber musician and soloist, she has appeared as such in the London Handel Festival, Istanbul Bach Days, BBC 3 radio live, SRF 2 Kultur, Forum Alte Musik Zürich, Grafenegg Festival, Festival de Música Antigua de Úbeda y Baeza, FIAS Madrid and the Davos Festival among others. She won the second prize at the International Berlin Bach Competition with the group Cardinal Complex Quartet and she has released different CDs: 'Cristal bello' with the ensemble 'La Guirlande' and the label Vanitas and  'String Octets' with her string octet 'Bambú Ensemble' for the label IBS Classical among others.  She is the artistic director and concertmaster of the historically informed group Chiave d'Arco.

Chiave d'Arco  in SRF 2 Kultur

Chiave d'Arco Barockorchester has been broadcasted in SRF 2 Kultur with his programme 'Neapolitanisches Erbe', recorded live in from the Festtage Alte Musik Basel in September 2021 and featuring as Konzertmeister & director the violinist Sigiswald Kuijken.
